Done as a christening gift. As usual I did it at the last minute in a mad rush and didn’t have time to get it scanned, so I had to ask the mammy to take a photo and send it to me. So the detail doesn’t really show up here. Cute though all the same isn’t it?

And a Tip-Of-The-Hat must go to proper caricaturist Niall O’Loughlin here - I drew this pose after studying the ones over on his site. I hope that doesn’t count as some kind of legally-actionable infringement (I have no money!! Heh).

Congratulations to Martin and Erika, who are getting married in August! The yellow motorbike in this picture was Martin’s idea, I don’t ask questions I just draw what I’m told to …

A quick Friday-night poll of my drunk mates gave this one the thumbs-down. No-one thinks it looks like Ricky Gervais (except me). One person thought it was supposed to be Dracula (!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!).

Whatever dudes, this website is the ongoing tragic chronicle of one big-eared man’s attempt to become a caricaturist. Every effort gets posted, good and bad. Maybe in a year’s time I’ll look back at this and cringe, and marvel at how much I’ve improved. Hopefully anyway.

Future biographers can use this effort to construct fascinating insights into my development as an artist. Heheh.

And regarding Ricky Gervais - comedy: great, films: shit. So far anyway.

This is my friend Milly from work, who rejected my first cartoon of her for being “too revealing”. I responded politely, offering to draw her in a Burqa and chastity belt (I can be terribly sarcastic when I get going). In the end we settled on this.

But someday in the future, Milly is going to ask her new husband what he wants for his birthday. And he’s going to blush and stare at the floor and mumble and stammer “I’d kinda like it if you’d dress up in that outfit from the cartoon. You know, the one that O’Rourke guy did of you?”

And Milly will go “THAT PERVERT? I blocked his number years ago. But … okay I’ll do it”, and she will head off to the costume shop.

And that will be a vindication of me and my artistic vision. Oh yes.
